Crockpot: Cookie Chocolate Chip

Crockpot Dessert

Cooking Method:

Crockpot

* 1 cup butter softened
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 eggs
* 2 1/2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 cups of chocolate chips (I just throw in two handfuls)
* Caramel (optional)
* Ice cream to top (optional)

Prep Time:

10 minutes

Cook Time:

2 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients:

* 1 cup butter softened
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 eggs
* 2 1/2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 cups of chocolate chips (I just throw in two handfuls)
* Caramel (optional)
* Ice cream to top (optional)

Instructions:

1. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs beating well.
3. Slowly add flour, salt, and baking soda, beating until well blended.
4. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.
5. Grease your 6 qt crock pot. You can also line it with parchment paper.
6. Place half the batter into the crock pot.
7. Drizzle with some caramel (optional) or anything else. Nuts would be good too!
8. Spread the remaining batter in the crock pot.
9. Add any other topping you would like.
10. Cook on high for 2 to 2 ½ hours. Allow to cool slightly
11. Cookie will come out more like a soft fudge cookie.
12. Serve warm with ice cream on top!

Notes:

1. Preparing Cookie Batter – Make sure to measure the dry ingredients correctly. Measuring correctly creates the best cookie with amazing soft texture.
2. Room Temperature Ingredients – Before mixing the ingredients together, make sure to start with room temperature ingredients.
3. Cooking Time – Cooking time will vary depending on your crock pot. Watch closely so the cookie does not burn.
4. Prepare Crock Pot – To easily remove the cookie cake from the slow cooker, make sure to line with parchment paper. We also like to spray with cooking spray for easy cleanup.
5. Chocolate Chips – Mix in peanut butter morsels with the chocolate chips. Try adding white chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips.
6. Add nuts – Walnuts and pecans are delicious addition.
